Menopause can be often misunderstood by women, their partners, and their family. Changes in hormone levels combined with ageing change the physical appearance of ladies, mood, and how people see them.
Conceiving a baby becomes increasingly difficult, then ends.
Mood changes can become more common.
A woman may gain weight and experience slower metabolism.
Thinning hair and dry skin, loss of breast fullness.
This may reduce during the menopause.
Vaginal dryness, irregular periods, chills and night sweats

Whilst for most people, these changes are understood, accepted, and often accompanied by medical treatments and health screening, for many this is a time of fear, anxiety, and transition. These fears are often justified for women who lack basic facts, who are in difficult relationships, and live in communities where prejudice exists.
We are called to support women through menopause, particularly in Africa where the need for this is greatest.
Mount Moriah Foundation is a not-for-profit charity whose mission is to educate and empower through this stage.
We apply Biblical principles and work under the guidance of the Holy Spirit, through prayer and worship.
We live by faith and depend on Divine provision to lead our decisions and where we invest our time and money.
God has worked wonders by enabling the Mount Moriah Foundation to develop and grow by sharing health advice with ladies across Africa and the UK.
It is our mission to educate and empower women before, during, and after menopause. Equipped with strategies from Mount Moriah, ladies are equipped to seek medical advice and treatment. They have a broader perspective that creates opportunities to address relationship, and cultural issues.
